Entering the World of Blogspot
If you've read my profile you know that I've just moved to England from America. I've been here for less than two months and have spent the last several weeks settling in. Since I moved in with my boyfriend and in an effort to make the house ours, we've been spending a LOT of time refinishing the floors, repainting, getting new furniture, getting rid of old furniture, hanging artwork, etc. etc. etc. And I have finally (FINALLY!) succeeded in getting my studio set up (for the most part) and am excited to be writing this blog from my new space...I've set up studios several times in my life and I think this is my favorite! I can't wait to get started in getting seriously involved in some art making. Until I get to the point where I'm setted enough to actually get some ideas formulated and work flowing, I'm concentrating on doing what I've wanting to do for ages: start blogging, beef up my website and work on networking with local artists. The great news is that I was just accepted into ArtLab, which is a printmaking studio, and I just can't wait to get started. And I have to tell you, landing something like that really gives me a sense of being settled. It feels great.
